Who are we?
Progressive
Behavioral Science (PBS) is South Florida's most respected provider of
intensive in-home behavioral analysis and family training.PBS works
not only with families throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties,
but also through distance consulting in South America and the
Caribbean. Our bilingual staff is fully trained in the most recent
principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Our staff has extensive
experience with the entire spectrum of developmental disabilities, and
the skill acquisition or behavior reduction interventions needed to
resolve them.
PBS' founder, Maria Arizmendi, BCBA, was trained by Dr. Jacob Gewirtz, one of the nation's first and most pre-eminent behavioral analysts. In addition to her work with PBS, Maria is a member of the faculty at Florida International University, where she teaches behavioral analysis to the next generation of practitioners. Maria, who is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, has worked with families throughout Central and South America, as well as South Florida.
